Ordering Information for "Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen"

As I promised in reply to an anonymous commenter, here is some information so you can support the author by purchasing volumes of “Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen.”  First of all some cover images so you can make sure you get the right thing.

Volume 1

Volume 2

Volume 3

Be aware that Amazon Japan charges $30 shipping for the first item and them $3 each item after for International shipping.  Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s gets to you within two days.  You can also purchase through a third-party seller on Amazon for $12 shipping per item.  Yes Asia offers free shipping in the US for purchases totaling over $40 dollars.  In light of this, it’s best to purchase multiple items if you decide to buy from these sources.  Also, if you have a Japanese bookstore in you area, you can try purchasing it or ordering it through them. Depending on the chain, you may not have to pay for shipping.

I have the books and there are some nice extra color images on the cover flaps.  I will post information for purchasing volume 4 when it is released.

  • Kinokuniya also sells japanese manga in the US. There happens to be a store nearby for me, but they do have an online store too. http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=03

  • @Rebecca — Thanks! I added a direct link to the ZHD listing at Kinokiniya. I also added a link to the US store location webpage for both Kinokuniya and Sanseido Bookstore. For those the West Coast near a major city, you should be able to get Japanese books.

  • I usually use benippon for ordering my japanese manga. Their shipping rates aren't bad.

  • I know this is incredibly late to post, but I still hope this will be of use in future shopping/posts anyway ^^ But have you heard of bk1? http://www.bk1.co.jp/

I think they have incredibly cheap prices and shipping rates:

  • @Catzcradle — um…actually, that place's shipping costs are more ridiculous than Amazon Japan. Typically the exchange rate is around $US1 = 100-yen, so shipping starts at $20 for 500g (1.1 lbs). Remember manga magazines are like phone books and weigh more than 500g. So we're talking more than $20/magazine, vs $30 for the first and $3 each after through Amazon. Better to buy multiple items from Amazon Japan. Plus Amazon Japan has an English language website (okay maybe 50% is English, but it's the same as the US website, so you can navigate by having the US website open in another browser window.) For people who aren't fluent in Japanese that's a daunting site. Plus, Amazon is a name we all know and trust.

    But thanks for the info.

  • Oh, I guess it kinda depends on where you live then?

But if choose to ship by SEA (the cheapest option they have there), shipping is only 430-770 yen for a magazine. So I think buying a volume there would be definitely be cheaper…?

  • Ah…but isn't that the proverbial “slow boat” that takes 2 – 4-weeks. Personally, I like 2-day shipping and I know you guys all like your J+K immediately (I do too, I can't lie. I'd die if I had to wait 2 – 4 weeks extra)…so…but if you are willing to wait, it is an option. That cost just about matches Akadot and their leadtimes indicates to me that their stock is shipped via the “slow boat.” Again, the Japanese website might be daunting, so within North America, Akadot may be a better option if you aren't fluent in Japanese. Also, I know if you contact Akadot you can arrange shipping. If they can mail Internationally through the USPS, the shipping matches SEA, but it's sent by Airmail, so it only takes about a week to ship outside of the US.

  • Oh, I've never heard of Akadot before! And if they have the same prices for SEA, and faster, I might be willing check out that site again in the future.
But however, it doesn't seem like they sell any manga volumes in Japanese?

  • @Catzcradle — Oh! for manga volumes in Japanese if you are in North America, buy from YesAsia. I have links in the right side panel of this blog.

  • Oh wow! YesAsia's shipping is only $3.99? Is this for real? xD
And it seems like they may have the book I've been looking for (since I've tried bk1, and it seems like they were out of stock???), haha.
Thanks for the lovely recommendation! xD
